How do you calculate travel times?
We estimate our coaches average 50 miles per hour. We then add time for mountains, heavy traffic, small roads or other unusual circumstances. We also add time for breaks and meal stops.
What features do your coaches have?
Our coaches feature a climate controlled interior, reclining seats, restrooms, and underfloor storage. All have stereo/video systems, card tables and a satellite tracking system.
Some vehicles have DVD players.
Do your vehicles have communications?
Our drivers carry cell phones and all vehicles have a satellite tracking system.
What does our price include?
Our prices include a meticulously maintained vehicle, a professionally trained driver, an award winning safety program, over 75 years of transportation experience, a state of the art facility that is open 24 hours a day, tolls, parking,
and extra driver charges.
Our price does not include a driver's tip.
How much should we tip the driver?
The rule of thumb is $2 - $3 per person per day. A driver's tip should be determined by his or her performance.
Do you offer tours?
Our tour division, Storyland Tours can assist with any tour arrangements that your group may require. We do hotels, meals, attractions, guides, cruises and other services. These tours are specifically design for your particular group on the date and time designated by you.
We do not sell individual tickets to these tours since they are for a specific group. For individuals, we offer daily sightseeing tours of the Richmond area through Richmond Tours. We also have scheduled trips to Atlantic City and Dover Downs Slots twice a week.
Where can your coaches travel?
Our coaches are licensed to travel anywhere in the United States and Canada. We are only limited by the availability of safe roads. Unless you have a BIG BOAT.
Where do we load our motorcoach?
If you have a favorite place to load your trip with adequate parking for your passengers, we would be glad to meet you there. If not we can offer the use of our Passenger Center across from our office. There is a small cost for this.
Can we eat and drink on your coaches?
You can bring food and beverages on your trip. Glass containers are not allowed for passenger safety reasons. Trash bags are provided and should be used frequently to keep clutter off the floor. We discourage the use of any hot liquids.
Although alcoholic beverages are permitted, Federal Law
requires passengers to notify us that it is on-board.
Can you smoke on the coach?
Due to the health issues of second hand smoke and some
State and Federal Laws, smoking is not allowed on our coaches. We can arrange for frequent smoke breaks to accommodate smoking passengers.
What is the capacity of your coaches?
We offer 47 and 55 passenger vehicles. The wheel chair lift coaches have a reduced capacity depending on the number of wheelchairs on board.
Do you offer lift-equipped coaches?
Yes, we have a Standard Video Coach and a Deluxe Coach with lifts at no additional cost.
How do we pay for our charter?
Payment is required 1 week prior to your departure with cash, VISA, MasterCard, Cashiers Check, or Money Order. We accept checks 2 weeks prior to departure. Credit arrangement may be made through our accounting department.
Who do I call after office hours in
case of emergency?
You can still dial our office number and follow the prompts. Someone in our operations department will assist you.
